Love In Action for The
Body of Christ Two
Opportunities that bring
Healing and Equip Your Families and Your Church to "Survive and
thrive"...
First you
can sponsor the retreat, Love in
Action!, Building Better Relationships in your area as an event just for
your church's engaged and married couples, or as a community outreach
event. Bringing these couples from your church together for a weekend
devoted to building up their relationships helps create a "culture
of commitment" to marriage which spreads through out the church as
couples are inspired to new growth. And you can help save families in
the process! And of course, all the biblical principles that apply to
marriage, and the skills Jim Marshall teaches to help couples fulfill
these principles, are then applied by participants in their other church
relationships.
Secondly,
you can invite Jim Marshall to lead your church family, or just your
leadership team, in Love in Action for the Body
of Christ: Transforming the Church into a Community of Compassion.
This retreat builds on the base of the standard Love in Action
Retreat but addresses the most difficult issues threatening the health of
your congregation. Teaching, role plays, group discussions of common
conflict patterns, focused prayer intervention for your church, and
private consultations with Mr. Marshall are part of what you can expect to
experience.
In addition, MasterCare Institute designs retreat
experiences for your church to meet your greatest needs as a unique
family of faith. Here's an example from a recently offered retreat to
the Methodist Churches of the Grand Traverse District in Northern
Michigan...
Conflict Management for the
Body of Christ: Achieving the Jesus Agenda" ,
was a great success, according to retreat participants.
This retreat experience was designed to refresh and more powerfully equip
church leaders to promote spiritual and psychological health within the
church.
This was the second annual retreat
conducted by Mr. Marshall
for leaders and parishioners
of the United Methodist Churches of Northern Michigan. The
retreat, held at the Sacramentine Center in Petoskey, Michigan
featured the Love in
Action~ Building Better Relationships program with
special training to promote deeper insight, compassion and effective
communication and conflict resolution among church families. Training
included lively
interaction
and skill demonstration, and private consultations. Evaluations received from participants indicated a very high level of
satisfaction. Call Jim Marshall at 231.439.3900 to discuss Love in
Action for your church, or email us at mastercareinstitute@hotmail.com

"MasterCare for Educators"
A half-day retreat for your best year yet!
This is a program recently designed by
Mr. Marshall specifically to equip school professionals with the personal insight and
coping skills to effectively manage the incredible emotional demands of serving children,
their families, and working with peers and administrators. In the brochure to educators
inviting them to the retreat, Marshall defined the retreat goals:
 | Increase your ability to assert yourself without offending
or feeling undue guilt... |
 | Gain freedom from perfectionist
thinking without
compromising your standards |
 | Confidently manage difficult interpersonal situations so
that both parties feel more understood and respected. |
 | Improve your ability to share your feelings, ideas, and
concerns effectively when it really counts at school (and home).
|
Following the MasterCare for Educators retreat, participants are asked to
rate their level of satisfaction with the program in each of the above goal
areas and related to effectiveness of presentation materials, organization,
and delivery (1, lowest; 5, highest). The average rating for the retreat is
4.6 indicating very high satisfaction, as reflected in participant feedback:
"great job! I want more!!... Very beneficial, I was never
bored...excellent presentation. Well organized. Extremely helpful. Strongly encourage this
to be presented to everyone in our district!"
